Ahoy, daredevs!

It's Villard Cord, game, narrative and sound designer of Ardskape, and this is our 1st log on itch ever as a welcome to our newest game released - HorseMare - made from scratch in 2 weeks for Adventure Jam.

Well, we had some real paintings ready to be made into the assets, and there was a short story (literature, kinda) which I wrote a few days before the jam, but that's all.

In 2 weeks our artist, Ramona Storm, drawn and prepared 170+ unique assets.

She brought life to her own paintings. And this horse! 

And insisted for me to redo the char animation (the test one made our horse look like convulsing dancer).

With HorseMare we set huge milestone: we finally proved to ourselves that we're capable of some serious game development, viz. we're ready to make our ideas and stories actually work and be played, not just read or listened to.

The year before we were a team of 2 artists with core skills in paintings, music and writing. Now we're devs with own style, narrative, design and logics of the code.

We encourage you to play and rate HorseMare, thank you! It's a bit of a haiku game, a dreamlike meditation with simple gameplay, designed not to ruin the narrated splendour. 

We really had our time making this game, working for the whole 2 weeks (and 9+ hours every day of the last week). So we're proud and tired. And so horsing exited to get in our flow of gamedev!
